Is there any way of updating it to 3.41 instead of going straight to 3.55? I know about You must login or register to view this content., but I'm not too sure on how to put the 3.41 onto my PS3 with a USB. If anyone could help me it'd be much appreciated.

Wrong section, and you have to download the 3.41 PUP file and put it in a USB in this directory: PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP and Update with a device in XMB
