But when I try to data transfer it to my 3.55 ps3, it keeps on saying "The ethernet cord is not plugged into both ps3's or one of the ps3's are not turn on." Or something like that.

I tried plugging out the back part and then turnin it on transfer data.---FAIL

Then I tried to turn it on the jailbreak way (But didnt re jailbreak it).----FAIL

Then I tried disabling the media server thing and internet (Someone told me to try that).---FAIL

Then I turned on my ps3 regularly.---FAIL




This is really pissing me off right now. This is gonna be my 1st time hosting CLs and my ps3 is failing me. Plus the jailbroken ps3 isnt even mine, its my friends and I have to give it back tomorrow. So can someone please help me? Btw, im just using a regular ethernet cord. Not a cross over ethernet cord thingy.

You can transfer to 3.55 I have done it many times recently.

When you have the ethernet cable plugged in and the select the option on both PS3s, one for transfering to and the other recieving. Do the lights around the ethernet cable light up green and flash?

If not the problem is not selecting both the options quick enough for both PS3s or the cable is faulty.

Yeah, the green thing on the back isnt lighting up. And this is the 2nd ethernet cord I tried! I'm going to try my routers ethernet cord. If that doesnt work then, imma do that one data transfer from the computers.

Im so happy you told me about the green light. I tried my routers ethernet cord AND IT WORKED!! I was looking behind the ps3's and it was glowing

Don't turn on your PS3 with 3.55 till your PS3 with 3.41 shows the picture of the two ps3's with the data cable (The second time)

At this point, turn on your ps3 3.55 and load up the data transfer utility. When it says "Please Wait" press X on the ps3 3.41 and VIOLA!
