Why So Serious?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok here are few tips to help you know if your host before an actual game starts.

1)When your in a game lobby and the lobby is counting down 10, 9 etc. It will either say the following before you actual go into a game. "Lauching or nothing. If it says lauching simply back out as your not going to be host. If it does and goes straight into a game it means your host.

2) When in a game lobby the finding best host comes up or it says waiting and suddenly you move position in the list of people in the lobby. You will not be host. If for example your second in the lobby and the finding best host thingy comes up and after it finishes your still in second place then you will be host. If you move position i.e. end of 3rd then your not.

3) To help you have a higher chance of getting host connect your router directly to your PS3 and disconnect anything that uses your internet connection i.e. laptop.

Lol its kinda difficult to explain since I don't have a video.

That % trick doesn't work.

When I set my clan tag as [%] it doesn't change until the match has loaded (Am I doing something wrong?

Homes idea with the "Vote To Skip Map" seems to work though Smile Kudos to you sir!

I assume this is the force host in your private patch?

Cause the one in V8 works maybe 70% of the time ...

When the Game is starting up, if it says Waiting for other Players or Awaiting Connection, Then your host. If it says Synchronizing Settings first then your not.

We all know this, were looking for ways to tell if your host, before the game even loads (Saves lots of time)

I suggest reading Homer's suggestion (Post # 2) It seems to work wonders.

Number 2 is not entirely true. This is what I use to get Host also. Just look to see if the lobby move's. It's not just yourself you should keep an eye on, it's the whole lobby. If ANYONE in the pre-game lobby moves place when it searches for a host, you will not be host. If EVERYONE stays the same, you will Smile Thanks though Glitcha Happy

a really easy and useful one i know of is while the game is counting down make your clan tag the percent sign % and if it shows as that your host but if it shows as a period then your not
