If you don't want to have the amazing CFW anymore and you want to go back to Sony's official FW for some random reason but you would still like to host MW2 hacked lobbies, it really simple. Dancing

Instructions:

  1. You are going to have to download the You must login or register to view this content. OR the You must login or register to view this content. or both Smile
  2. Add the .pkg onto the root of a memorystick and then plug it into you PS3.
  3. Install the .pkg by using *Install package.
  4. Now they work, right?
  5. Now you are going to download the Sony official 3.55 firmware from You must login or register to view this content..
  6. Once downloaded go onto your memory stick and Make a folder called PS3 and a subfolder called UPDATE.
  7. Add Sony's official update(PS3UPDAT.PUP) in the UPDATE folder.
  8. Plug the memory stick into your ps3.
  9. Goto System Update>Update via Storage Device>Yes.
  10. It will then Start installing sony's official firmware.



You are still able to use the FTP sever or the Awesome File Manager (or both) because they are signed therefore they work on Official Firmware Smile

Do you have Geohots CFW? because you need that.

Nice tut, but I haz a problem still.

When I put the Offical 3.55 on my USB (E:\PS3\UPDATE and in UPDATE I put PS3UPDAT.PUP )

Then I go to PS3 and Update PS3 via USB it doesnt find anything...

Please help, will give +++REP

On ipod touch I install OpeniBoot, after I trasfer the files of PSFreedom on ipod and start it.

But, how to use the patch mw2? where I put the patch? <.<

Yes i have geo, but i am now recovering my whole playstation, and after that i am gonna jailbreak again. maybe that works.

If you are using PS3 FTP server you have to put the patch on your computer, and then connect with filezilla and replace.
If you are using Amazing file manager you have to put the patch on a usb stick :pedo:
