If you have done everything but when you start a private match no mods come up, it is just normal - this is what to do.

1. Quit game and go into your "Game Data Utility" on the XMB.

2. Delete the Modern Warfare 2 patches.

3. Open up Modern Warfare 2 again and reinstall the current patch (1.11 atm).

4. Once you have downloaded and installed the latest patch, go to however you are installing your modded patch (I think the File Manager way is best) and copy the patch over. (Once again, see the guide above).

5. Now re-open Modern Warfare 2 and hopefully you will now have mods.

This worked for me and was found by me, but I do not claim to be the original finder, and I could not find this info while I was looking for help, so hopefully this may help some of you. Enjoy your modded lobbies!
