What I found to work, is right when you exit the private match and join with 2-3 people in a public match, click Vote to Skip.

If, by the countdown, you are able to skip again, then you are not the host anymore. If, on the other hand, you cannot skip again, you are the host.

you need to put on force host. now if you use force host it is not guaranteed to work everytime so it might take a few tries to actually become host in a ranked match... i use the elitemossy private patch v1 updated and when i hit the force host button out of three tries 2 out of the 3 got host so i advise you to look for a forum that has the link for his private patch v1 update in it its a really good patch>
