Different patches have different "Force Host" the only thing I can think of is there coded differently and some work better then others.

I would also suggest that you make sure your MW2 NAT is set to OPEN!

Make sure you are not clicking anti join in the process of forcing host. What you do is, the easiest would be, goto private match, select force host and then end game under host menu, go search for games online and then invite your friends, always works for me. If your just wanting private match hosting, no need for any of the above, just start the game and start inviting

I usually just play on private match so I don't really need the force host and my nat type is almost always on open. I tried the elite mossy v7 and bushigans tree patch and they both work fine with friends able to connect instantly. I never play with anti join toggle so I can rule that out. All other patches do not allow connection with friends but I have no problem hosting. I also noticed when I tried to host CL on WAW and COD4 it is the same problem. Could it be my ISP? My friend in the same area I am in has no problem hosting all patches, but he is on a different ISP.
