Is roll the dice the patch, Or is roll the dice in the challenge lobby?

Ok iv got the patches for roll the dice, zombieland etc, they also come with challenge lobby tools, iv played these games in other peoples lobbies but no idea how to use these patches or tools myself, i take it the tools are there to install the patches, tools are PSgroove - jailbrak files etc, but im a bit lost and dont want to mess things up, but really want to use these patches as i enjoy the game modes that iv played through friends

thanx 0lliee, watching a few times to make sure i do this right , what about me being in the UK do i have to have stuff that is ok for the UK? like the official sony 3.55 update that he installs in the video? i already have this via the regular update so its already installed, so is he using a different 1?
