no if you are doing a system update for 3.55 then it is okay cause of geohots custom firmware which allows you to jailbeak the 3.55 !! christechtv.com has the firmware on it you can download it from there

All you need to do is open up File Manager, or FTP and copy a new patch, the same way you did it last time.

Theres no need to format and go through all that work.

If you want a fast way to delete your patch, then simply delete your MW2 "Game Data" located on the PS3 XMB.

After that, relaunch MW2 and you will be prompted to patch the game again.
