(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I JB'd my ps3 and put Comegenie's Awesome File manager on.
I deleted the mp_patch.ff off of my HDD, then copied another patch from a pack that was looming around the site. so after copying that over to my HDD where the original patch was, I boot up MW2, start private match with my buddy, but nothing happens.

I am using the "MW2 ProMod" patch_mp.ff from the rG PS3 Patch Modding Tools pack.

Any useful info is appreciated greatly.

I had the same problem. U need to delete the game data utility and then put the patch back on
