Also am I suppose to like use some downloaded version of MW2? Or I can just use my MW2 disc?

If you replaced the patch with a moded one it should work try using a diferent patch

all patches work for every thing

umm i used "Derektrotter's EliteMossy [EDIT] v20" it works for private

but how do i use it when i join other games? or make public games

use the force host located in the menu

while using force host i sometimes found it useful to have a party or at least friends to invite. but yeah, unless your host the patch doesnt do anything
