What can I use to open, and edit the patches such as mossy v9, or trotter v20? I have heard c++, but all the ones I have tried wont work. Which version of c++ should I get? Visual, Dev, Netbeans? I just want to become familiar with the code, and add some sections to optimize some of the patches. Please help.

Ok... I got the .ff viewer on the page, and the godlymodz patch, then opened the .ff viewer, and tried to open the patch, adn it said something like improper header, or something of the sort. Do you know what's wrong?

Yeah... I tried the Havoc one, and the .ff viewer didn't even recognize it.
