Post: Help with Derek Trotter

I have seen Derek Trotter being used online to change game mode and I am curious to use it aswell. The only problem is that I don't know how/where to start after downloading the patch. Can any one help me/provide me with a tutorial so I can give this kewl hack a go?

Go to the main PS3 menu. [With your Users, Settings, Games, etc.]
Go to Settings > System Settings > System Information.
You should see the version you have.
If you have 3.56, you're stuck. You won't be able to host unless they come out with a CFW/Jailbreak.

Well currently, there is no CFW/Jailbreak for 3.56.
There are good ones available for 3.55, but since you're on 3.56, you can't go back. There is a method of downgrading, but I wouldn't recommend it since it's risky. Also, I mean, you 'can't host' as in, you can't install the patch.
