I'm trying to edit other patches than the v8, such as the ultimate v9, and trotter v20, but the 14f8 file doesn't show up. There are always similar numbers, but none that match up. Does anyone know what to do in this case?

just get the new ps3 ff viewer or convert to xbox edit in ff viewer and convert back

Ya use an xbox version of the patch in ff viewer then use BuCN's converter when your done

I've tried many times to use ff viewer, but it always comes up as improper header...

Dont worry about the error's when u save fastfile save it over the patch your editing

Thats the thing. It wont let me view the file. It says improper, then nothing happens. Another thing. Where is the map files? I would like to edit those.
