I question how they lose money, you bought the game already, and playing on their servers increases the strain, thus costing them money.

Less players = Less Strain = More money for them

i just do them online all the time and when ppl see it they ask and i say they have to pay and they get admin for life in my lobby and they end up paying and everytime they join i give them admin

well they like the idea of unlocking all their challenges and emblems and getting admin everytime they join my lobby so their willing to pay

You can just use patch blocker lol and then you swap the patches with proxy server. I've done that plenty of times. luls
