i would if some one could make me a pure N00B tutorial (and every link to every tool or required things to do it)on how to decrypt on a mac and re Encrypt and how to edit patches or make them and how all this crap works fantastic if there is a way for mac if not i have Virtual machine running windows 7 ultimate.:n00b:

there is a tut sticky post in the hacks section. the tut is by AlabamaHit. its called Decompress and Compress PS3 Patch Manually (The Original Post). he tells you everything you need to know and gives very good step by step instructions on how to do it. but i will warn you that even if you do get that part, you wont be able to get very many mods to work if you even get any of them to work at all. i.W. has added some sort of checksum to the new patch so if it is any different than a normal patch is uses a default patch. from what i understand this is how 1.12 works, correct me if im wrong. i think from what iv been reading is that the checksum is in the default_mp.self file. so i think we need to start looking at that .self file and maybe try modding so it thinks its a 1.12 .self but runs like a 1.11 .self somehow.

i will be looking into the .self file all day tomarrow to see what is going on in there. but i need a 1.11 default_mp.self to compare the new one to, so i can see what they have changed. anything new is probably the checksums they added to it.
