Turn off PS3, Turn off Router, Turn off Modem.

Let stand for a minute Turn on Modem -wait for it to come to a ready status,

Turn on Router -wait for it to come to a ready status,

Turn on PS3 (cross fingers)

Good luck Try it again.

Do not restore your ps3, it has nothing to do with that, its a communication error, be careful giving advise, there are usually simple solutions to fixing errors besides restoring your ps3 to factory settings, although advise is always appreciated
