If backups weren't bound to the ps3 they were made on, we'd have another invasion of 12 y/o 1337 h4x0rs on PSN screaming "CL!!!! OMGGGG" again, like we did in the 3.55 era, prior to 3.56 (PS3) and 1.12 (MW2).
