I also ran into some guys last night that were hackin and idk if they didnt update and were still on 3.55 or if they were patch blockin. So what i want to know is there any way to host with a patch blocker or "system link"?

"system link" just means that some1 who hacks got onto their account and unlocked everything for them or modded their classes. BY using a patch blocker you can host 1.11 patches which are fun, and if you didn't use a patch blocker you can still use 1.12 patches which are alright

ok thx. im 11th prestige from where i used to be on 3.55 but im on 3.66 now. so could i host 1.11 patches in a LAN match or private matches? using patch blocker?

no you can't host but if you bypass using the patch blocker you can find people who do.
You need 2 ps3's now to host on 1.11 or 1.12

alright thanks again haha, but so if i bought a brand spankin new ps3 with like... 40-80gb (cheaper sometimes), i could pop in my old jailbreakin method before i updated to 3.66 and host em on that 1?

ok what you do is buy a new ps3 under 3.55 fw and then jb using geohot or kmeaw or whatever
then ftp your patch on
then data transfer the patch to you 3.66 fw ps3
done you now have a modded mw2 patch

ok but what im sayin is could you get a new store ps3 and i forgot what happens first when you cut it on but could you hit system update with 3.55 in USB and then JB like u said BEFORE you updated?

i don't really understand what you are saying... if you bought a new ps3 from the store you would be taking a chance because not all ps3 come with 3.55 fw or below which is why ebay is safer. if you get a ps3 on fw 3.41 lets say you could update it to 3.55 and then jb it. but you can't downgrade a 3.56 fw to 3.55

i got what ur sayin but when you buy a store ps3 is it automatically on the latest fw? or do you have to update it

I heard if you buy the PS Move bundle PS3 it comes on like 3.21 or something... I would NOT buy a refurbished one though because they update it... just go on eBay or Craigslist...
