i know how to use it but i want to put a 1.11 patch on to do a mw2 cl but do i not have to delite somefing so the 1.11 patch works on 1.12

delete mw2 default_mp.self

Yeah, change your default_mp.self and rename it to default_mp.self.bak

Delete default_self.mp. Then change the patch to any 1.11 patch. You dont have to bypass only your friends if they wanna join.
