There are so many fakes of all the jailbreaks and patches, and nobody is specific enough. NOTHING F#CKING works. somebody just walk me through the steps

Heres what i know so far: The newest ps3 update, 1.12, wont let you do jack. i deleted the game utility data off my ps3
The elite mossy patches no longer work online with the new update
I need to jail break my ps3 before i can use these patches
Every f$cking person on this website knows how to do this stuff except me.
Why does everyone expect me to know exactly all these steps? ive downloaded like all kinds of shit from ps3 patch blockers, to jail breaks, to elite mossy edited patches.

BTW, yes i tried the 3.5and3.6whatever GEOHOT JAILBREAKS. they have done nothing but say "Data is corrupted" when i try to update them on my ps3

first, wrong section. second, if ur ps3 is on firmware 3.56 or above, u cant do it, that easy...

Ok lol well 2 questions. One, how do i find out if my what my firmware is on my PS3? and two what does CFW stand for?

Go to system setting and it tellsnyou. CFW stands for Custom FirmWare. Basically modded/hacked data overwritten 3.55 original firmware

Can i change the firmware back to an older one? i dont understand why different firmware is on different ps3's, newer and older models i guess?

No, you can't downgrade firmwares. There aren't any hacks for 3.70. Every time you do a system update it is for your system firmware.
