however i did delete the a file in the patch called 'defult_mp.self" so maybe that is why??

Yes, that would be why. You'll need all the files bar patch_mp.ff to be exactly the same as those connecting to you

You'd never delete the default_mp.self. You'd rename it if you were ever going to host a bypass lobby for people. You'd rename it to default_mp.self.bak

Delete your mw2 gamedata off your jailbroke PS3, reinstall 1.12 ,put your patch on and data transfer again.
