(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, got a short and easy tutorial for all you AlterIWNet users, if you heard AlterIWNet will be releasing some new maps, Oilrig, Gulag, Village, Burger Town, yes, Burger Town and Pripyat, all from the MW2 campaign!

So if you want to get the pre-release demo, just follow these simple instructions.
NOTE: In this tutorial I'm not going to show you how to install AlterIWNet from scratch, just IW4M2.

1. Open up your iw4mp.exe.

2. Open up aIW2.exe, you should get something like "AlterIWNet is updating."

3. Once it has updated and closed automatically, just open aIW2.exe again and it should open up the MW2 Multiplayer menu, from there you can play online (but there are only about 6 people playing lol)

It's that easy!

If you want to start a private match, change press "~" key to open up the console and type in "devmap MAP NAME", example, "devmap oilrig", hit enter and it will load the chosen map.

Also if you want to change your username, open up the console with "~" and enter "name YOUR USERNAME HERE", example, "name ClutchLikeBenny"

What is special about this?

5 new maps, you can try them out by following this tutorial. This is for PC and AlterIWNet

the fact that the pc users can now play in the single player levels, online...it looks like a mod, and a very very good one haha xx

You dont need a aiw update to play them, add the map to the basemaps.arena file using the example of the other maps, add the map FF file to your zone/english folder and add a d3dbsp.ents file to the demo folder Rar files.

Custom maps for multiplayer, what isnt special about it?

Those are just SP maps, is nothing custom about them, this are custom maps(this one is Pripyat by ZeRoY on cod4):
