(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I don't have a jailbroken PS3 and don't really want to. Every answer on the internet is different and i want a definite answer. The only patch that i want to install is JonoEfthy's 1.12 Patch v9.0.4. Thanks in advance.

Well, it is a lot easier with a jailbroken PS3, at the moment, if you are on a firmware above 3.5x then you cannot jailbreak. There is a workaround so you can install mods though, I found this recently but it requires a lot of knowlodge and skill. Link: You must login or register to view this content.. If you don't understand this I will basically explain as thorough as I can. I myself am not too good at this sort of thing but I know a little. Basically, you need to get your harddrive out of your PS3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you need one of those cases to put hard drives into, that have a SATA port in. You then connect the SATA port into your computer, and you need a linux based operating system to mod it on. You go to command line, install some gits linked in the tutorial and then run the decryption command. After that you can access the PS3 hard drive and put on your patch. This is very hard to do and might risk bricking your PS3, if I were you, I would wait until a new CFW comes out then jailbreak it, I know that you don't want to but those are the only two options. Please note: I do NOT know if what I said about the alternative jailbreaking was entirely correct, but I tried my best.

Daviga404. Rep/thank me if I helped you please Smile

CFW stands for Custom Firmware, the firmware that you use when you jailbreak.
OFW stands for Official Firmware, the firmware you get from Sony.
If you don't know what firmware is, I'm sorry, but you shouldn't be looking in this Exploits and Hacks forum.
