if you mean can you have a 1.11 patch and still play normal multi player without changing/deleting it then no but if you keep it on the 3.55 then your always have a copy of it ready to transfer to your multi player console

so if im hosting on 1.11 and than i turn off my patch blocker and update i lose my custom patch and i have to transfer it again?

well i have seen some threads where you can have 2 but i don't really look at them but yes my understanding is if you have a 1.11 custom and you turn off patch blocker you will have to update the patch.

Pretty stupid to buy a ps3 to host for mw2, when mw3 is almost here.
