yeah ik ive made a few but i cannot seem to get the cursor to scroll down the mod menu or if it is i cant see it at all 1.11 style 1.12 mod menu

You probably do not have the right code. Examine your code and someone elses. You should see something like this : bibd DPAD_UP vstr G8 and bind Dpad Down and so on and so forth.
