If I just transfer the patch in file manager then data transfer, is it going to work? I just updated my regular PS3 to 4.0, but for some reason I tried a data transfer, and the patch didn't work?

Well what patch did you use? and it WILL work..also you might want to put the 4.0 spoof, i don't know if it makes a difference (didn't for me) but its worth a shot

Thanks, I'm transfering a different patch as we speak, maybe the patch I tried was to old. I'll make sure for the next one if it doesn't work I'll be sure it's no older than 1.12

Well, here's the thing. Depending on what patch you are using, for 1.12 and 1.13 you must have the 1.13 pkg files. IF your doing anything under 1.12 (Ie 1.11 and below) you MUST delete the default.mp (its something like that). When you delete that, it basically means you are on a patch blocker
