What I would want to do is host a challenge lobby for cod4, w@w, or mw2, any one of those, doesn't matter. I have not jailbroken my ps3, and do not plan on it. I have 3 PS3s, one is the slim updated to 4.0, the other one is the fat updated to 4.0 (haven't used it forever, and I just updated it today, I was planning on selling it) and the other one is slim but Idk but firmware it is, but I know it isn't 4.0. How would I host a challenge lobby for any of those games without jailbreaking? I have a usb, not sure if I cant host them with just that though.. Is there a way I can do this? Or do I have to jailbreak? Oh and also, what is bypassing, and how do I do this? Can I be able to host CLs by doing this? Please help me, I am NOT a hacker when it comes to PS3.

You need to find out what firmware your other ps3 is on. You must have a jailbroken ps3 to host modded lobbies.If it is 3.55 or lower then you can jailbreak with a usb. Can I still jailbreak the fat one with USB even though its 4.0? Is there any way I can downgrade it by chance? The other slim that ISNT 4.0 is NOT mine, it is my brother's, and there's no way in hell that he'll let me jailbreak it.

No it isn't possible to jailbreak the 4.0 as of now but there are downgrade methods such as the e3 flasher or progskeet which will let you downgrade and upgrade back as you please.

I'm guessing not, since I have seen about 5 websites with the same download, all leading to the same file, with a password, that you have to take a survey to get to. And I ****ing hate surveys, and most of the time when you're finally done with it, the file isn't even real..

Just did, **** that. I am not spending money on something just as simple as jailbreaking my ps3 just so I can host challenge lobbies. And you need to solder the ps3. No thanks.

There are solderless ones but I agree with you I wouldnt waste my money on it either just to host lobbies.
