For those having a hard time reading the message it reads:
"The info leaked to me stated that MW2 is publicly playable & Special Forces. Meant to be beta release date of Sep 10th - and some secrets about new prestige mode features(which I wasn't told of) but something about in game prestige has changed." (Jason Andrews - Xbox Live)

Does 'Publicly playable' mean that everyone can get the beta, and that it's not only people who have a code?

Ok, TBH I am realy confused :S

who cares anyways...why doesn't everyone just wait for the game to release and quit spreading rumors about weather or not there will be a beta or not. its called PATIENCE.

Very few people have patience.
You guys are talking about beta and I haven't even decided if I'm getting Prestige or Hardened edition.
