Post: A (better) tutorial for float colors

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sup NGU, I see tr0j4n‎ released a simple hex color tutorial so I thought I'd make a better one. You can use this to change the color of you menu
Credits to aero and Fallen for putting up with me while they taught me this, I was purposefully annoying and I am sorry :p

1. Open up paint and go to Colors/Edit Colors/Define Custom Colors. It should look like this:

You must login or register to view this content.

2. Choose a color you want to use, can be anything you want. In this example I'll use purple. Now get the RBG colors on the right and note them down (for the noobs RGB is red green blue)

You must login or register to view this content.

3. Find a decimal to float converter, I suggest using You must login or register to view this content.

4. Starting with the red, divide all the decimals (the red, green and blue) by 255 and put them in the decimal representation box. In my case, I input 0.8 as I divided the red (204) by 255. Click enter and you'll get the hex representation for the first part.

You must login or register to view this content.

5. Repeat the process until you have the Red, Green and Blue in hex. Then, add 3F 80 00 00 on the end for the alpha (alpha is opacity, this means how faded or clear it is so keep it at 1 for full color). For example, the purple I chose would come out as 3F 4C CC CD 3D A8 A8 A9 3F 3E BE BF 3F 80 00 00 ( 3F 4C CC CD is the Red, 3D A8 A8 A9 is the green, 3F 3E BE BF is the blue and 3F 80 00 00 is the alpha)

There, you now have your color as a single precision float point

Actually it did...it was a tut on changing backround colors but you failed to go into detail. Razbaz tutorial was MUCH BETTER and I only bring you up because you troll my threads. Apart from that just about every tutorial has been released for .zone modding besides big text so thanks Razbaz and Aerosoul94. Anyway good job once again Raz im out of here.
