I don't know the offsets for sure right now, but just search for that. As for getting it actually "colored" it's a bit more complicated, which involves float to hex... I won't explain that, but to get it as a checkerboard just corrupt the raw text i.e:
mw2_main_background TO: mw2_xxxx_background
