Post: Patch Blocker for Linux/Mac - What everyone wanted!

Here is my patch blocker, converted to Linux/Mac!

You will need Mono installed, and i have provided examples below to help you install Mono

Download the Patch Blocker:

Now follow the steps below for your operating system

Mac:

Visit You must login or register to view this content.
Download the Mac runtime
Install the Mac runtime
Open terminal
type
mono PatchBlocker.exe

Voila!


Mint/Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Any other buntu!

open terminal
type
apt-get install mono mono-devel
then
in terminal type
mono PatchBlocker.exe


Arch Linux

open terminal
type su
enter root password
type
pacman -S mono
then
mono PatchBlocker.exe


Any other linux distro's, use your package manager, install Mono
then
mono PatchBlocker.exe in a terminal!

Oh, "Mono" is incompatible with PPC-based macs which makes me :(

Not to bash on your work, but this really isn't a release. All you really did was link public 3rd party software that someone else made and said "use this to open my .exe". It is well known that intel macs can run .exe and other windows frameworks with software such as mono, bootcamp, or VM such as parallels. Anyone with a brain could do this is they wanted to.

Hey thank you for your tutorial! Mono doesn't work it say that mono does not exist (SORRY for my BADD english im german Happy) Im now trying wine i hope that it does ! Smile Magglass1
