Right, you will need to bypass. Next have a USB stick and make the usb completely plain (NO FILES). Make a new folder in the root called PS3, inside another folder called EXPORT, and another inside that called BACKUP. Now in backup put a patch (EliteMossy v9). Now go to your ps3 and go find back up utillity, inside click backup, select your usb, inside you will find elitemossy, now back up w/ elitemossy. Start MW2 and go private match. You have the elitemossy custom patch.

Go to Modern Warfare 2 Exploits & hacks, find my thread that is called converting a patch to a pkg file if your 3.55 ps3 can't run home brew. I made a tutorial on how to make them but also have one preloaded. ( efthy v9 )
