Then he said something about akimbo.
I searched akimbo on wikipedia but found nothing.
Then I searched dual wield and look what I found!
In gaming, to dual wield is to hold a weapon in each hand. Dual wield may be called akimbo style, though it has little resemblance to the human body position of that name. This most commonly refers to matched pairs of handguns but can refer to any other weapon that can be held in one hand such as machine pistols and even melee weapons, although this is more common in role-playing games, where it is usually termed dual wielding. The term is largely slang now and has little to no consistency with the original meaning.
So I guess Akimbo is a new perk MW2?! Dual wield guns?!

This could possibly mean that Akimbo is a new perk! But it's not confirmed! I'm just guessing but it seems true!

It's limited to sidearms, harder to aim than standard and you can't go ADS (aim down sights) since you have a weapon in each hand; Among other balancing techniques, so don't freak out before you see it in action.
It's cool.
I promise you though, we're not going sci-fi or completely changing what Modern Warfare is all about. It's still about the fast paced, infantry focused combat that we all love. We don't have jetpacks and shields. Once you play the game with all the new perks, attachments, weapons, killstreaks, features, gear, and other surprises it all comes together perfectly.
I plan to back that up with plenty of MP videos and details as we get closer to launch, the latest one coming out this week so you're up to speed on what to expect on November 10th
