German composer, Hans Zimmer, who has scored soundtracks for movies like The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator, is set to pop his video-game soundtrack cherry with Modern Warfare 2. The Oscar winning composer's Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency confirmed the news today.

Zimmer is currently working on soundtracks for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes and Inception movie titles, and has worked on over 100 soundtracks to date.

Modern Warfare 2 is set for a November 10th release date.
