you just need to get the 1.11 or 1.13 pkg and put it on usb and then put it on ps3 and install pkg files folder.
Then filezilla thats it and transfer patch.

hey ya i got my 3.55 not too long ago and i had to do zBryanHD said and if you want a good site to download any patches for any games use brewology go on the website with your ps3 then download to your usb.What i just did though was downloaded the 1.13 update instead of 1.11 and then overwrited patch.ff in comengenies file manager with the modded one and then you wont have to bypass if your using a 1.11 patch but other will have to to join you. Also if you want to host modded zombies with a broken blu-ray drive i will find the post i used which was very helpful and now i can host modded zombies

Just use filezilla and blackb0x then data transfer.

I have a 3.55 with a broken blu-ray and all I do is transfer my 4.21 PS3 to the 3.55. Then I do what slyyy said, and finish by transferring in reverse. Works perfectly and I can play on 1.11 not pkg's needed. Don't know why you would need them.
