Do I put the flies outside of the PS3 file, Inside it, Inside the save or what?

It goes in the root of your usb if you want to put it in a another folder on your usb just change the command to ../../../dev_usb000/(yourfolder)/.cfg file

Just use a Empty usb & drag the files on the usb(to make it easier , just make sure you don't put it in a map) , plug in your usb in the right usb slot and get the cfg infection.
Note : make sure the file is called buttons_default
