Probably a noob question but the forum search haven't helped :/

A CFG menu is a menu that you can use through a USB. With it you have most of the features you would have if you had a jailbroken ps3 with a custom patch but not all. In order to work a CFG menu you need to be infected by a ui_mapname "'mp_rust;bind buttonback exec ../../..usb000.buttonsdefault.cfg (I don't know if I put the right code since i did it off memory but you get the general idea

So which things can't do that jailbreak+modded instead can?
And after infection will always work? Online and split?

it can use most hacks that a modded+jb ps3 can but it's limited in certain places. You'll find out when you compare and start using CFG. And you would do the cfg infection the same as any other infection you go split screen, do that and once u done that u should be able to use it online as well.

No offence to him up theres who trying to help you, But im going to say yes you can get infected, but cfg is mainly made up of basic game knowledge (instead of custom codes) So that why super jump is "jumpHieght, 999" For the original height it would simply be something like 20. And also CFG is not the only type of menu coding out there, Even though it is for the latest game update, You can still host on 1.11 (Where you get big and better mods, You may of heard of EliteMossy? He was one of the first 1.11 modders!) But inorder to host 1.11, You need several things, 3.55 Ps3, OFW Ps3,Usb,Ethernet Cable,A patch and a bit of basic computer knowledge, And you need to bypass! Which is easy and if you need to know more about 1.11 I will help because I make my own patches. So theres two choices, Make your own CFG or Get infected with a menu, Or use a 1.11 patch or make your own! But in order for people to join you on 1.11, They Must bypass To! Yes I know EliteMossy, I used to use his patch, I was on the first doing that too Anyway I might go and make my CFG because I have ofw 4,31 in my slim and ofw 4.30 in the fat. Passed days were easier without ban exc. Well if you have skype I'll gladly chat with you to make things working (I'm asking it everyone today lol).
Are there CFG menu for MW3 too?

To be honest, I have no idea, I used to host MW3 myself (Using a eboot.bin) But I hosted a day, Then got banned :/ So yea its not a wise choice, But having said that, MW3 is kind off a old game now Black Ops 2 is Out...
