Single Player

Ultranationalists attack Russia pretending to be Americans. Task Force 141 tries to prove America's innocence. Tensions grow to breaking point; Ultranationalists team up with Loyalists to achieve a common goal by striking back at the US in an all-out war.

Act 1 and 2 of the game:
May 2009 preview voiceover: "This appears to be the work of the Ultranationalists. The Kremlin, however, sees it differently." So the Russian government seems to doubt that it was the Ultranationalists who attacked the airport. Why? Because they were dressed like, and spoke like, Americans. They staged an attack on a Russian airport in order to frame it on America. This will set in motion the events of the rest of the game. The Americans and the British will team up in the name of Task Force 141 to find the truth behind the lies created by the Ultranationalists and prove their innocence to Russia. This will lead them to Russia, and Brazil. The Army Rangers are in Afghanistan doing their own thang, and I don't know how they factor into the story mode here.
Meanwhile, tensions between the US and Russia grow to a breaking point. The castle will probably be the finale of Act 2, as Task Force 141 races to apprehend Makarov and whatever he's holding in the castle. Makarov escapes from there, and TF141 probably fail to accomplish their mission, barely escaping in the explosion that ensues. Something will happen to trigger Russia's wrath, leading into Act 3.
Act 3:
Russia attacks the US. There's too many clues to it. In multiplayer, Russian operatives and Army Rangers fight against each other on a high rise building in what may be the US. On the cover of the game, the destroyed outline of the Capitol Building is clearly visible. In a recent "Inside Xbox" video, we saw the city of Pittsburgh in flames with American helicopters flying to the rescue. Tons of clues in the artbook mention parachuting onto American soil. A very early preview alluded to a suburban-style setting where your environment included destroyable mailboxes and other suburban-type objects. If I'm not mistaken, I also read something about Russian BMPs being airlifted onto US soil. And they're not here to help us. I think the Ultranationalists will achieve their goal by turning Russia against the US, which leads to an all-out war which we will participate in.

It is, It is attached to the bottom of the gun much like the grenade launcher but it a mini-shotgun instead, probably only get a few bullets like a grenade launcher as well
