Without spoiling anything about the storyline, you can skip a certain violent scene in Modern Warfare 2.
When a very violent scene taken from the Modern Warfare 2 singleplayer campaign was leaked on the Internet it shocked quite a few people. Of course we will not tell you what makes this scene so shocking, but this is the statement by Activision after being questioned about the supposed very violent scene:

“Players have the option of skipping over the scene. At the beginning of the game, there are two ‘checkpoints’ where the player is advised that some people may find an upcoming segment disturbing. These checkpoints can’t be disabled.” - Says the Activision spokesman.
“Modern Warfare 2 is a fantasy action game designed for intense, realistic game play that mirrors real life conflicts, much like epic, action movies. It is appropriately rated 18 for violent scenes, which means it is intended for those who are 18 and older.”
Call of Duty: World at War was BBFC rated for 15 years and older (M) due to extreme violence and gore, Modern Warfare 2 has been given the BBFC rating for 18 years and older (M). Apparently setting people on fire with a flame thrower is suitable for 15 year olds but Modern Warfare 2 has things even worse. We can't wait to find out for ourselves, when time is there. Again, we ask of you to not spoiler anything off the Singleplayer campaign on the Internet!
Steam Achievements for PC
This might not do anything for the hardcore multiplayer gamers that have been mad at Infinity Ward for removing the dedicated server support, but it might actually be great for those that like to enjoy the singleplayer as well. Due to Steam Cloud you can play Modern Warfare 2 with the same settings wherever you go. Other perks for the teamup between Infinity Ward and steam ar the fact that Modern Warfare 2 will have auto-updating, anti-cheat technology and Steam Achievements (with a total of 50 achievements).
