(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello everybody. I recently bought Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for my PC. I went through the installation process and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However there is one problem. When I go to startup/launch the game it will get to the infinity ward logo and freeze up but the sound keeps going. I then am forced to end the program because it is no longer responding. When I launch multiplayer mode however it freezes up at the menu screen.....
I have already tried re-installing the game and that didnt change anything...

Any advice or suggestions to help me out would greatly be appreciated! I've been looking forward to this game for a long time....

Maybe you've got too much running at one time. Open your startbar, type in the search box ' msconfig '. Go to the startup tab, and uncheck everything apart from your antivirus. Restart your computer as prompted, and give it another go

If he did that his computer would crash instantly if he closed the wrong programs.

Also specify your computer settings, they might be way too low.

How would it. He would be closing programs and not services. If he used the services tab and disabled them it would. It wouldn't if he disabled start up. Or like you said, his computer just might not be good enough.
