i think its just something to show you what it looks like from space idk i didnt understand it either

It shows you as an astronaught outside space station (im asuming that your doing repairs to it or something to the outside of the station) and then your told to look at the nuke as it hits America. I think they could have made that scene a whole lot better personally, and would a nuke really cause that effect in space if it detonates on earth?

When the spotlight lloks on you everything is blown up ,Then when you watch the astronaught thing it shows wat happened to cause the destruction

I think it blew up in space, because a nuke exploding in earth and making wind blast all the way to space is breaking rules of matter and gravity.

on my screen it didnt blow up on earth. it blew up while it was still in the air

It was an EMP bomb so it was in fact detonated in the air, That's why all the planes started falling from the sky because all of their electronic equipment failed.

It was a nuke that was targeted to blow up in space. The shock wave from it went rippling through space and destroyed the station. The reason you play as the astronaut is so you can see what it looks like form that view.

It was an EMP that got launched, and it detonates in space... well because it can. Its not really supposed to kill people, it just kills all electricity. Which explains why the helicopters were falling, the lights were out, and your red dot didn't work. You saw it from space just because that was the coolest looking way to see it. What you are supposed to be is an astronaut (probably doing work on a space station) that is told to look at the earth, so people could see the EMP through a camera planted on/in his helmet.
