FMJ adds NO extra damage. It is a direct replacement for 'eep Impact' from previous titles.
I think you need to check when you create a class because it DEFINITLY does increase the damage of the weapon slightly. I know for a fact it does because i use FMJ on the intervention.

No. I don't care about the stupid weapon statistics bars in the game. The 'increased damage' only relates to the strength of the weapon when shooting through objects. Why do you think penetration kills are the challenge for FMJ?
and since I can't link to the source page on this forum (advertising or some bullshit... even when it's a free blog site, whatever) here is a link to a thread with the info. FMJ= Deep Impact. Refer back to DenKirson's COD4 stats about deep impact.
Full Metal Jacket does add slight damage [you can look at the damage bar in "Create A Class". Also, It is the direct replacement for Deep Impact. It, like many other perks and attachments, has a dual ability/ effect. [or affect, cannot remember...stupid grammar class]
