1st prestige =class 1
2nd prestige= class 2
4th prestige= class 3
6th prestige= class 4
10th prestige class 5

is this how it still works? what else do i earn?

You get one extra class every other prestige so its like:

1st prestige: 1 extra
2nd: none
3rd: 1 extra

and so on..
