Mw2 Strategy Guide for all Game Types

Well lets get started by explaining what this guide is all about. It seems a lot of the newer players are having trouble with the game and that is where i come in. I designed this guide to help old and new players improve there game like I have. This guide covers the basics such as weapon combinations to the more difficult tasks as calling in a tactical nuke. My hopes for this guide is that it improves players game. Well lets get started shall we?

How to set up a good class

The first thing you need to know if your going to set up a class is which gun(s) are you good with. To find out i suggest going into a few team death match games and testing each one of them out. Every gun has its benefits and its drawbacks. You need to find a gun that you are able to comply with both benefits and drawbacks.

The second thing you need to know is what perks are you going to use to maximize your kills. I prefer Marathon Pro, Stopping Power Pro, and Ninja Pro, but that's just me. You'd be surprised at how powerful a combination of perks could be.

The third and final thing you need to know is what game type you are going o be playing. Before setting up a class your going to need to know what game type your planning on playing or you could get destroyed.

Team Death Match

This game type can require some strategy but overall it is a fun game type to play. You could easily get 20 kills per game but at the same time you could easily get 20 deaths per game. Kills streaks are easily accessed on this game which also means your going to need a way to take them out.

Heres an exmple of a class for a team deathmatch game.

Primary: Famas
Secondary: Desert Eagle
Equipment: Frag
Perk1: Marathon Pro
Perk2: Stopping Power Pro
Perk3: Steady aim pro

Killstreaks: Predator Missile, Harrier strike, Chopper Gunner.

Search and Destroy

I love this Game Type because I love the rush of being the last one left with 6 people left than clutching i for the win. Its almost always thrills me and keeps me entertained.

Search and Destroy Classes

Class 1
Primary: Ump45 - silencer
Secondary: Model 1887's - Akimbo (can be switched for deagle or any other shotgun)
Equipment: frag grenade for quick spawn nades.
Special Grenade: Flash
Perk1: Marathon Pro - this always seems to help me out as i can rush around quickly and wipe them out near there spawn.
Perk2: Stopping Power Pro - I don't care what anyone says this is a must for any weapon.
Perk3: Ninja Pro - To many people have turtle beaches this throws them off quickly.
Killstreaks: Uav - Uav is such and underused killstreak you'll be lucky if another person has it in your lobby.
Care Package - Always have ot have a care package cause you never know an ac130 or chopper gunner might pop outa there
Predator Missile - This is an excellent killstreak for open maps as you can call it off fairly quick and take 2-3 people out each time.

Class 2
Primary: Intervention - Fmj (This sniper can be swapped with any other I just prefer this one)
Secondary: model 1887's - akimbo (or any other shotgun)
Equipment: claymores (for snipers that camp) or frag ( for snipers that rush)
Special Grenade: flash
Perk1: Sleight of Hand Pro - If your sniping this is almost a must have perk as it allows you to zoom in faster for that quick scope.
Perk2: Stopping Power Pro: As i said earlier, Its a must have perk.
Perk3: Steady Aim Pro: I always use this one when sniping as you never know when someones going to pop up right in your face and your going to try to no scope him.
Killstreaks: same as earlier.

Demolition

Well I particularly enjoy playing this game type as I find it easy to rack up 40-60 kills. I strongly recommend have a buddy or two in the lobby with you cause you never know when your going to need some cover to pull of that tactical nuke .

Class1

Primary: Famas - red dot sight/fmj
Secondary: Javelin
Equipment: Frag or semtax
Special: Flash
Perk1: Scavenger Pro ( this is a must for demolition because if your running on low ammo with a few kills to a nuke your pretty much screwed)
Perk2: Stopping Power Pro or Hardline (this is the only game type that i MIGHT use hardline on)
Perk3: Commando Pro - Mainly because if someone is under you, you could just drop down and take them out without recieving any damage.
Killstreaks: Harrier - I love Harriers. If the other team doesn't take them out they rack up 4-8 kills.
Chopper Gunner OR ac130 - I prefer the chopper gunner as i believe it gets more kills than the ac130.
Tactical Nuke - You never know when your going to get a 25 (24) killstreak. I always keep this one on handy.

Keep in mind that these are just what I think work the best. You could pretty much do the exact same thing with different guns if these don't work out for you.

Search and Destroy Strategy

Lets start with attacking. When I am attacking in Search its straight on rush for whichever bomb I think will be less crowded. I usually make it back to there spawn fairly quick and catch a few people every now and then. Remember to use that secondary gun if you get caught in a fire fight and have to reload. Taking a rush is fairly risky as you could run right past someone with out even knowing till you get shot in the back. I would advise going into a private match and scanning each match for a way you think would work the best.
For defending I'm a hardcore camper. I don't care what people say it's search and destroy it's made for camping. I would rather be the last person left by camping then the first person to die by rushing. Back on topic now, I always camp at A bomb because most of the time that's the quickest target to get to. There are a few maps like Afgan that i camp target B on but most of the time I'll camp A. The key to winning a Search and Destroy game is all about communication. If you see somebody that you can't reach or don't want to risk running after, call out his position you'll be surprised at who's listening. If you kill someone with the bomb call out your position and where the bomb is relative to your location. It's always nice to wreck people going after the bomb then getting wrecked by them.
