IW have stuffed up hard today for example I had 1 party ov 6 Aussies another 5 Aussies/nz ppl joined.. Then a Chinese guy joined he took the F ing host like WTF the whole night I played on red dot. So for your question there's no real way unless your jap yank or pay $30000 a week for fast Internet.

this may be slightly off topic but how do you tell who host is?

the host will always hav 4bar connection

Press Select at the very beginning of the Game and look at the Stats, the Host will have 4 bars just before the game starts, while everyone else will have 1.

Why does everyone keep saying this in regards to getting host? How does that even affect your game anyway on console?

The only problem with that is it won't just work on random games and with MW2 merging lobbies all the time I don't see it working at all.
