Is there any other point? Maybe better sound quality, but if your going to do that just get a normal set of headphone, just as good half the price.

definitely worth it, i use the x4's, they are bad ass, just get a set of rechargeable batteries. also turtle beach sell's remanufactured x4's for half price, its on their website. they come with the same warranty as the brand new ones.

There is a big difference between the models. I would recomend at least going with the wireless ones. (X3, X4). With that said there is a huge difference between the two. For me the X4's are well worth it. With the Dolby surround sound you can actually hear from what direction your enemies are trying to sneak up on you from. You can't go wrong with them. I tried the X3's first and was not happy with the sound quality at all. If your going to buy a pair stay away from the X1 and X2's for sure. If you can't afford the X4's ($199) then go with the X3's ($149)

I have been using the Turtle beach X3's for over a year now and I love them. You can hear things in the game that you cannot hear with a regular surround system. Like someone else said they are not true surround, but they are about as close to the real thing as you can get.

I would recommend some astros if you are really serious. They are quite an investment but so far they have been worth every penny. As someone who has owned turtle beaches and been able to compare the two first hand I can say definitively the astros are in a league if their own. I especially love being able to plug my ipod into the mix amp. As far as the trittons, the main discouraging factor for me was the fact that you have 2 ac adapters with them as opposed to the usb powered astros. People ask me how I go 30-3 or better in ffa and my response is always "I hear your footsteps"
