I think the best spawning system is STILL that of COD4's, and that was flawed to an extent and never really fixed. W@W was really bad. MW2, so far though, really irks me a lot and I can't tell if it's worse then W@W or not. Then again, I played W@W for about 6 weeks before I returned it (absolutely can not stand [email]
[email protected][/email]ine was the best part of that game). MW2 though, it seems that some maps just make the battle always levitate to one part of the map. Sub Base in particular does this. 2/3's of it is barely used in almost all the matches I've played there.
Worst spawn death that I've had so far is when I'm watching a killcam, and all of a sudden, I'm watching a second kill-cam after what appeared to be a flash of my POV after spawning, then an explosion....and the kill-cam shows a PREDATOR MISSLE landing in the spawn area and hits like milliseconds after I spawn. Like, how does the game really think that's a good spawn area when a ROCKET!!! is heading towards it? Spawning on top of grenades is not cool either.
Still, I can't stand it when I kill a couple people, and then I get shot in the back because someone I killed quickly spawns behind me....like really? That is just sad. Especially with the size of some of these levels. How does one get to spawn 10-15 feet behind me in Wasteland when I just sniped them at a considerable distance (longshot)?
