Along with MW2, brings a new approach to hacking. The one where most of the n00b hackers are lost, and their brains explode with confusion. So the first hacks where simply, dvars. Then along came the 1.30 patch. This was first bypassed by packet injection, then later found an easier way to bypass, which is simply to skip the download multiple times. And when people where tired of bypassing (the ones who didn't packet inject hacks into the patched version) found the UFO hacks and the visual hacks such as art mode. That was then and this is now. MW2 is out. IW got quite a bit smarter on their file protection, with encrypting the files with an unknown checksum. The checksum most likely will not be found so the alternative is to find hex values, see what they do, then edit them. So what am I getting to? In Modern Warfare 2, when you call a Chopper Gunner, AC-130, Predator Missiles, etc. you have a thermal vision which shows enemies by highlighting them with a red box (if the don't have cold blooded on). Also you have the option in which you can change thermal mode. Wouldn't this be nice to be able to be toggled, on the ground? Here's what I am thinking. The whole thermal interface is a view mode, in which it is overlaid to the standard view. So when you are in your AC-130, it is a normal camera, with a variable which gives it the cool thermal effects. If so, the dvar is there and If it's found, you could bind it to the unused Up button on the dpad. Even if not being able to bind/toggle it, but have it as a permanent view, would still be cool.

So What I am working on is, finding this variable (dvar) and implement it one way or another. So first you start off with baby steps and look through the 2000 or so dvars on the pc. If it's possible on the pc, then somehow, I will port it to the PS3.

Thanks for reading, and let me know what you think.

By the way, if found, this will not be released, but I will make a vid and rub it in all of your faces :P

Well it has been found, and not by me. This is for Jtag xbox.
