After this, I at least am able to carry on playing at lvl 70 w/o problems. Please can someone else try this. Thanks.
Note: This does not mean the level sticks after restarting your PS3. That is not the idea.

No, if you just play a few games usually after a few you can't get into games. It will just blackout.

That's pretty much the same as going to level 70, then not prestiging at all. It's fun to do, but it will inevitably reset.

ya u got it, use the mw2 tool to edit ur stats, play a game, and then next round ull be in the leaderboards,

Maybe we can prevent the game from reseting our stats after we turn off the game? I Just had a thought:

Maybe, if we join a game at level 70 then play the whole game, after that prestige in the lobby and go into the game, after playing the game for a few minutes sign out and go back to the main menu, then load up multiplayer again? its not been tested yet because i just thought of it from the top of my head. Some one test?

Erm.. Past 3 days I've done this (rank 70 10th prestige everything unlocked) with no problems.
